This seems to be a repeat of last year so I will try not to wear the 4 letter word out. Rain and more rain. Oh well it won't dampen our spirits of being able to have a great trip. We left home at 9:35 am and our first stop was in Hope for gas heading north to Yellowknife, NWT. Yep GAS not coffee at Timmies, then it was the long climb up the Coquihalla summit. At 1244 meters in the rain it was a bit chilly, but then the skies looked a lot brighter. We got to Merritt in time to fuel up and have a bite to eat at the Husky station. Now we knew we were on the right trip, the sun began to come out and by the time we arrived at my sister's home in Barrier it was about 20 C. Carol & Orm made up a great dinner. Orm cooked a salmon on the BBQ and we almost ate the whole thing it was so good. We had a lot of laughs sitting around playing cards until bed time.
Our friends Brian & Joyce, Dick & Gerry are leaving Oliver this AM and will be meeting us at Dutch Lake Campground for our first night of camping.
Good to hear you got some sun. Supposed to be 25 here tomorrow - hope so. Have a great day.
