On to Williams Lake and beyond

Access to the internet has been very limited so sorry to everyone who is trying to follow our trip this time. We had a great visit and lunch with Ethel Rhodes at the casino but we did not come away winners. On to Williams Lake where we parted ways with our UMCI (motorcycle) friends Dick & Jerry (Salem, Oregon) and Brian & Joyce (Oliver, BC) at Tim Horton's. We had a great time traveling with the four of them.

Then we were on our way to Anahim Lake to meet up with Gil & Joyce for our trip into Bella Coola which included our trip down "The Hill". Lots of gravel and switchback very steep! Not for the feint of heart! Rick made a statement that he has been to Bella Coola twice now, the first and last time. Maybe avid fishermen would get more out of it. We saw four grizzly bears and one black bear that day. They don't have a worry in the world. The next day we packed up and headed out to the Evans Family Reunion. Stopped at Lee's Corner at Hanceville for lunch. An interesting Restaurant with an interesting history.Back at Williams Lake we stopped at Walmart for groceries and Surplus Herbies for the fun of it. Then on into Kokanee Bay Resort to set up camp. Carol & Orm Strom (Rick's sis) were already there and slowly but surely everyone else started arriving. Total there were 32 Evans family members present and we all had a good time - between the kids playing in the creek and catching minnows and whatever else and roasting marshmallows at night.
Rick and I headed out Monday a.m. and stopped for breakfast at the "Gold Dust Cafe" in 100 Mile House and then on to Kamloops to Tim Horton's for coffee with our friends Kevin & Helen for a nice visit. Back to traffic in the Okanagan! Actually it was not bad at all. We did a trailer picnic lunch at Falkland before heading on to our friends Brian & Joyce's for a 2 night rest in their house and their spare bed. And home made cherry pie and lots of heat and sunshine! Thanks so much.
Tomorrow we head for Christna Pines for 5 nights.
